WHOA… that Outlander Wedding Night.
I would post pictures, but I’d start lookin’ like some adult entertainment blog.

The Bethyl Age Difference
A lot of my friends always used to ask me why, if Beth and Daryl’s relationship took a turn for the romantic, I would be not at all bothered by the age difference between them. Here’s what I would tell them:
In a show that has referenced murder, rape, CHILD murder, CHILD rape, torture of innocents, and mass suicide, what type of people does it make us to only be bothered by a consenting relationship with an age gap? Yes, I admit, without context an age gap that large would put me off, but the audience has been given so much evidence, evidence that not only proves that the relationship is fueled by the most innocent intentions, but even goes so far as to prove to us that the older male in this relationship is really the one who is the most childlike. There are no predatory motives that cause Daryl to treat Beth the way he does. The relationship, in the end, is built from a very strong, innocent and NON PREDATORY emotional bond.
DEAL WITH IT.
Q:I just read your ask and answer about Beth being in 5x01. I agree it doesn't seem likely, however AL did spoil that there will be an awesome after credits coda to the season premier, to which Kirkman, who was interviewing him for Skybound at SDCC, quickly hushed him up. I'm thinking this coda might belong to Beth and her whereabouts. Just a quick glimpse to make all our jaws drop. Much like the Comicon trailer. The rest of the ep will be all Terminus related.
SAWEEEEEET!! That’s what I meant about a “Glenn moment” a glimpse at the end. So, yay, it just might happen earlier than expected! Kirkman is such a tease!:)
Thank you sweets!
Q:I'm dense because I thought she hash tagged it "Where's Beth" because there wasn't a picture of Beth on the game and she had only won .10 cents. I like your reasoning better.
DANG!!!!! You are right! Boo. I guess since AMC has been saying “where is Beth” I had it in my mind! Oh well, lets slap double meaning on it!:) I mean Gimple would ;-)
Q:Do you think we'll get a glimpse of Beth in 501 or do you think we'll have to wait until 503/504? It seems like 501 will be busy but I know that 401 foreshadowed things in the upcoming episodes. It kind of makes me nervous if she isn't in 501.
Leave it to Kirkman to screw with us! In March, he promised they, “won’t keep it [Beth’s story] to close to the chest.” — And recently in the EW edition of TWD, he did a 180, and in short, told us we will see a lot of her arc, BUT we will have to wait a bit. So, no doll, I don’t think we will see her in the premiere. It won’t shock me if we don’t see her till 504 — however I am hoping we get a “Glenn moment” maybe in 503, giving us a glimpse.
But don’t be nervous! You are SO right — 501 is going to be littered with GImple eggs. Kirkman also stated, the lingering questions from the finale of season 4, will be answered pretty quickly in the premiere, but by episode end, there would be a HUGE array of new questions.
Basically, just because we will not physically see Beth on screen, doesn’t mean 501 won’t be without her presence. Some of those eggs are gonna give us hints about our girl. And the questions are gonna jar us in thought to theory about what the hell is happening to her.
So, bag your nervousness! There is no need for it. Remember her arc is the biggest question mark, outside of Terminus, but it will have greater impact. What is happening to her is a BIG deal, she got her own story. The whole anticipation of the show, and the 5A plot, is very much wrapped up in her arc; that is huge! Good things are coming. Get excited!
This is a VERY plausible theory actually and if it’s even close to the truth, it’s why Emily hasn’t been seen around much yet…and again, if it’s even close to true, I have plenty of condiments for those needing to eat crow. It’s really not that bad, I’ve done it before. ;)
”Ok so my boss ——- and…
chandra75 yes, this person is on par with what we’ve been saying, her possibly being in ASZ…. the only thing about that I question, is he mentions Beth is running trying to escape in that scene. In that moment I don’t think she is escaping. I think it’s possible people are arriving — like an ambulance does a hospital. And she is being forced to be like a nurse/assistant running out there to it — something that requires what we saw of her in the trailer.
Maybe they are preying on injured or vulnerable folks, for whatever possibly screwed up shizz they are doing.
I like the ASZ theory, I just don’t think that scene is what seems to be.
Does anyone want another pina colada? Mojito? Cause my ship is sailing so beautifully, we are all over here on the deck of the ship, lathered in Hawaiian Tropic coconut oil, getting sun and generally just enjoying the view.

Q:Sasha also makes a reference to "Heart of Darkness". HoD has cannibals in it too, but it's also about two separate, opposing factions who are both bad in their own ways (the company and Kurtz's group, with Marlow between them). Which could be a hint the Termites and the hospital cop group Beth's with may be connected, more specifically, are or were in conflict. There are theories that "Never trust" graffiti in Terminus was a result of whatever these hospital cops did to the Termites.
GREAT call! I didn’t remember that from Sasha! Andrew Lincoln used it recently:
It feels like we’re heading into the heart of darkness… Brutal’s the word for this season…It’s always been pretty intense but this season I think is very hard hitting and people should be prepared for that I think. You stand alongside Rick, you’re family. You stand in opposition to him, you’re a problem. This season seems to be about…Whether or not people are willing to be as uncompromising as Rick.
YAY to dissecting literature to gain possible themes! LOVE IT> I just read the spark notes…The first thing that struck me is Kurtz. Like you said, Kurtz, this god-like madman, who has aligned himself with the Native Africans, using them to raid villages and steal ivory. If that is any indication of foreshadowing, it totally makes sense there would be a relationship between Beth’s psycho cops and Terminus.
The imperialism by the Colonists, is also super interesting. It kinda screams the cops in someways, doesn’t it? Beth’s slapper, she comes off as yes, authoritative, but also a righteous supremacist. That fits the Colonists, who would do anything to push their agenda.
As far as the cannibal thing - interesting how Marlowe learned to work with them. I never have been sold on Terminus being Cannibals. My HUGE hope is that the cannibal storyline goes down like the comics, after Terminus, which is more in line with HoD, as far as the backwoods savagery. But, the shrine room at Terminus, yea, I always thought as well, something horrific happened and they are doing whatever they are doing in response — so it never happens again — however it plays out, I feel like that is the drive. Basically something really mucked up happened and now they are really mucked up people. But, that goes in line with everything TWD has been saying. What does this world make of you?
The grinding of brutality and humanity — there seem to be many of the same threads, asking the same questions that TWD does — when the world of social norms is yanked, and enter a world of madness.
Side note: So, Kurtz… He feels so Negan to me.
WAY COOL> Thank you for telling me!:) I love doing this stuff!
